Making young people aware of money worries
The pitch from Zuyd Group was about preventing debt among young people. That starts with raising awareness about what it means to have money worries. Not a subject young people are immediately excited about. That barrier was solved with gamification: a mobile escaperoom (converted caravan) that was offered in combination with a teaching programme at primary schools, VMBOs, MBOs and HBOs in the province of Limburg. Dare you ask - the debt game is supported by the province of Limburg, housing corporation ZoWonen, Burgerkracht Limburg and the Kredietbank Limburg.
And the winners are...
The jury was unanimous in its decision to award Zuyd Group the SRCM Sustainable Credit Management Accent. Preventing young people from getting into debt and teaching them where to turn if it did happen, the jury felt it was an initiative that deserved a national roll-out. The sustainability of the idea through collaboration with chain partners was an added bonus.
The VVCM Credit Management Innovation Award went to Experian, with the judges finding the combination fighting cybercrime with a better customer experience a solution to a current and serious problem. The addition of device profiling and automatic re-training ensure we can stay one step ahead of cybercriminals.
