From text to speech

ReadSpeaker webReader can read out loud the content of a website. On any online device, wherever you are, one click and the page is read aloud while the text is highlighted to facilitate reading along. This makes the website accessible to a wider audience of internet users, including people with learning disabilities or visual impairments, the low-literate, those learning a new language, the ever-growing elderly and anyone who prefers listening to rather than reading, or who wants to access websites on the go. webReader is cloud-based (SaaS). To use it, you do not need to download anything.

How does it work?

Activate webReader by clicking the read-aloud button.

With webReader you can:

    • Select text and click the read-aloud button from the pop-up menu that appears to read out the selected text.
    • Hold the mouse over a paragraph to have it read aloud.
    • In text version, view content without complex formatting, with font, font size and colours according to your personal preference. Reading aloud and highlighting simultaneously can also be done in text version.
    • Download an audio file with the content from the webpage so you can listen offline as well.
    • Translate selected text into one of the languages offered and have it read out in that language.
    • Set the reading speed, colours for highlighting and more.
    • Look up the meaning of a selected word.
